In math right now we are going through topics and making sure we've mastered them. Some concepts we have gone over that feel like review are Pythagorean Theorem and functions. Applying the math to real world problems are new to me and the Quadratic Formula is feeling new. One thing I am struggling with is graphing, I feel like it's been beaten into my brain since middle school, but for some reason it wont stick. In class I try my best to always make eye contact and be respectful. I try to ask clarifying questions whenever I'm confused because as I've learned this year, confusion can cost you.
Semester 2
This semester we have exclusively learned probability.
This semester i've struggled with SAT math. It would've been great to learn it in class instead of spending three months of probability, but hey! at least it's over now. Luckly I had a great math teacher freshmen year who I went to throughout the semester to get work from. The law of large numbers is the likelihood that an event is going happen, based on how many trials. Math builds on itself, when you learn one topic, the next should be easier because you know more math. Hopefully, after college I won't have to do anymore math. I've been looking at a career in business or digital marketing.
Probability Project
For our probability project we are making corn holes and testing the probability of getting a bean bag into the hole from different distances. Over the course of this project I learned what a corn hole is. For our design we did a Pi inspired mandala, we added formulas throughout the design to keep it math related.
